On the first day of the tour, we will visit Stonehenge, the site of the mysterious ancient monoliths. We will also tour Salisbury Cathedral, home to Britain’s tallest spire. The tour will then move to the city of Bath, which is world -famous for the hot springs first discovered by Romans over 2,000 years ago. Tourists can also enjoy the beautiful Georgian architecture of the city squares, where two of Jane Austen’s novels were set. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the hotel in Bristol.

The second day of the tour begins with crossing the River Severn to Wales and following the Wye Valley. Guests can view the ruins of Tintern Abbey, a Cistercian abbey, which has been an inspiration for both painters and poets. We then move up north to Chester to catch a glimpse of the Roman Walls, the cathedral and the black and white timbered buildings, known as the ‘Rows’.

We visit the village of Grasmere where poet William Wordsworth lived and wrote his famous poem, ‘The Daffodils’. While heading up north to the Scottish border, you can enjoy spectacular views of the Lake Windermere and also stopover at Gretna Green, where eloping couples married against their parents’ wishes. We will then cross the Southern Uplands to one of Europe’s liveliest cities, Glasgow.

Soak in all of Glasgow’s beautiful sights with the orientation tour. Drive north through beautiful scenery to reach the Scottish Highlands and follow the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. You will further drive through scenic Oban, which is world-famous for its distillery. Tourists will also come across Fort William, located near UK’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis, which stands 4,409 feet above sea-level. You can enjoy your dinner at the Highland hotel in Aviemore, a well-known Scottish ski resort in the Cairngorms National Park, also known as a centre for hill walking.

Next day, drive through Pitlochry, which is famous for its salmon fishing. An interesting fact about the salmon fishing here is that a ‘fish ladder’ on the dammed river helps the salmon swim upstream to spawn. You can also drop by at St. Andrews, where Prince William went to university, and take a picture of the 18th hole at this place, where golf has been played for more than 600 years.

Take a city tour with the local guide and be mesmerized with sights like the Royal Mile, Princes Street and the famous Edinburgh castle, where the Edinburgh Tattoo takes place annually. We travel back from Edinburgh to England and drive through the Northumberland National Park and view a part of the Hadrian’s Wall, built during Emperor Hadrian’s visit in 122 AD. We then journey south and cross the River Tyne at Newcastle and arrive in York, a city of extraordinary cultural and historical wealth. In York, the travel director will walk you through the quaint, narrow streets known as the Shambles and also introduce you to York Minster, one of the most beautiful Gothic cathedrals in the world. Finish off the day at Leeds with a lovely dinner at your hotel.

In Coventry, be mesmerized by the old and new cathedrals standing side by side. The old cathedral was all but destroyed during the Blitz in 1940. Following a competition held in 1950 for a suitable replacement, Sir Basil Spence’s controversial design was chosen and the new cathedral was consecrated in 1962. Later take a trip to Shakespeare’s birthplace, Stratford-upon-Avon, where you can see the sights and shop for souvenirs. At the end of the tour, journey through the scenic Cotswold countryside to London and proceed to your next destination.
